AMD ATI Radeon HD 3850 Tramples GeForce 8600 GT/GTS!!
Wow! What a comeback! AMD's new ATI Radeon HD 3850 is the new mainstream king. At a price of around US$150, it tramples the 8600 series three-times over!

But wait, this has gotten me in a real fix. I was going to upgrade around Christmas. This means that if Greenpeace doesn't get a sub 190 card that performs as well as or perhaps even better than the 3850, I'm going to defect to the Soviets.

(Matter of fact: Though both the 3850 and its heavier cousin 3870 are solid offerings from AMD, the 8800 GT owns them both!)

But the real problem is that I have been an NVIDIA guy since last year, and now I don't want to go over to team red. :(

Elsewhere, I'm hearing rumours that the 256MB 8800 GT is going to be rolled out across third-party vendors and it is going to be a sub 200 product. It pray it will!!

Don't give in to the Dark (Red) Side!!! Wait for the 256Mb version of the 8800GT :P I'd imagine it being more on par in price.

Follow the price-to-performance leader. Regardless of color.

^256MB 8800GT is comiiing.... seems like that it is still priced over 200$... and, i think the price will drop to sub $190 rapidly, and the price will also vary on different countries... :D
