nvwgf2um.dll causing FSX:Acceleration to crash
When using any nVidia GeForce driver 163.75 and above (both BETA and release), FSX crashes with a fatal error (text to follow) after ~15 minutes.

The screen freezes (audio continues, but does not indicate the program is still working), the Windows wait cursor shows through the on screen graphics, then the Fatal Error message shows and FSX is restarted.

I'm using: Vista, FSX Acceleration expansion, DX10 Preview
nVidia 680i SLi motherboard
(2) GeForce 8800GTX, SLi enabled
Creative X-Fi PCI

Version 163.69 does not have this issue.

Diemos,

I'm not sure what the DX10 Preview is ... I have FSX+SP1 and the Acceleration Pack installed and have not experienced this fault.

Do you have enough RAM installed? (I know this may appear to be a dumb question but I don't know your system specs)

Should be enough RAM, 4 GB are installed (although I'm not sure Vista is using more than 2... )...

DX10 Preview is an option in the Customize graphics section that allows FSX: Acceleration to run with the promised DX10 graphics, but it's not fully implemented.

The properties of nvwgf2um.dll specifically state that it's nVidia's D3DX10 module, so at this point I'm going to assume it's an issue with FSX in DX10 (especially since I did just have the same crash using the 163.69 drivers)...

Pity... I was looking forward to using DX10... After all, I spent over 5 grand upgrading for it  ...

Thanks for the help!
