XP Drivers for nForce430 Chipset
I have a Compaq Presario SR5113WM, Athlon 64X2 3600+ processor, Asus M2N68-LA motherboard, and GeForce6150SE nForce430 chipset. The machine came with Vista preloaded. Vista won't work for my application, so I wiped the HD and installed XP Pro. Now the modem, and wirtually anything PCI doesn't work. I looked for the latest chipset driver, but the nForce430 with integrated graphics only has a driver for Vista. Is there a driver for XP or some other solution? Thanks, in advance, for any assistance

I think those nForce4xx drivers are what you need for the chipset and that you should get the 11.09 driver set installed from it... assuming your mbrd is the single chip MCP61, which I think it is. If there's no graphics driver in that pack, get them separately here Forceware 162.

I had a hard time getting things going with this system too... Dont get me wrong, it is a nice cheap pc but vista basic sucks. I finally got a hold of where to get the drivers for this system to run xp pro. I will share...

**Here is the link for the Chipset drivers:

http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/nFor...ternational.exe

**Here is the link for the Video/graphics drivers:

http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/175....nglish_whql.exe

**Here is the link for the sound drivers:

ftp://202.65.194.211/pc/audio/WDM_R196.exe

The above-mentioned URL's will take you to a non-HP Web site. HP does not
control and is not responsible for information outside of the HP Web site.

*Here is the link for the Modem drivers:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/generic...=reg_R1002_USEN

The last one may also help in getting some of the freebie stuff too (though I was not planning on going there since I do not need the modem - high speed or nothing for me).

Hope this helps you and others!!!
