When I turn on certain low end games, while the game is playing a blue 3 inch box pops up in the middle of the screen. At the top of the pop up it says “Resolution Notice”.
On the line below it says “For best picture quality, change resolution to 1440x900”. Underneath are two buttons that say (1) Clear Message. (2) Disable Message.
Neither button responds when you push it. After 10 – 15 seconds the box disappears. It will pop up again in about 3 min. On my G-force 7900GT I am set to 1440 x 900 resolution, color quality set to highest, 32 bit. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you have an LCD display that is making you aware of an odd resolution that it is rescaling the game to fit your monitor for...

You may look into adjusting the game to 1440 x 900...

Thanks you set me in the right direction. I have a 19in Hanns-g monitor and in the monitor's setup I found the disable resolution notice switch. That fixed it. :)
