ASUS A8N-SLI Premium Q&A
This new ASUS 939 Athlon 64 mobo is out.
It Premium edition uses a heat-pipe tech, fanless Nforce4 chipset cooler.
It has no EZ selector card. We may change 2x PCIex8 mode (SLI) to PCIex16 + PCIex1 (Non SLI) from within Windows.
Has anyone got this baby?
Can we put an XP120 CPU cooler on?
Is it possible to change SLI non SLI mobo setting from Windows without restart?

Cause in this case we might keep Forceware setting at SLI and only change mobo SLI setting from within Windows.
Then we might use two monitors on the first card in non SLI mobo mode and change to SLI mobo mode without restart..

For those with an A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo is it possible to get the fanless chipset cooler?

Still not listed on ASUS site and none of the resellers around here can get it yet. The mosfat regulator heatsink would have to be replaced because that is where the heatpipe is buried, next to the CPU and I believe it is glued on.

I saw your photo. So you do have an SLI rig. I have the same cooler on my second SLI card. It is very good. Makes no noise and gets the air out of the case. On the first one I had to use a Zalman VF700-Cu because of the chipset cooler.
Great rig.
