[center][size="XL"]ELEX 3D Vision fix[/size][/center] This fix aims to make the game "ELEX" 3D vision ready. It is tested with ELEX v1.0.2946 (GOG) on ultra setting and 1920x1080 resolution on Windows 7 x64 with driver 358.87. Steam version is reported to work as well if the Steam overlay is disabled. ELEX 3D Vision fix


This fix aims to make the game "ELEX" 3D vision ready.

It is tested with ELEX v1.0.2946 (GOG) on ultra setting and 1920x1080 resolution
on Windows 7 x64 with driver 358.87.
Steam version is reported to work as well if the Steam overlay is disabled.

This fix may not work on Windows 10 or if the Evil Update (KB2670838) is installed!

What is fixed:
- Shadows from sun
- Point lights
- Sky and moon
- Decals
- Volumetric fog and light shafts
- Specular Highlights
- Smoke and water splash
- Rain
- HUD
- Auto crosshair

What is not fixed:
- Everything not found

Known issues:
- Point lights and clouds are clipped at the left and right of the screen
- Ambient occlusion is a bit blurred when moving as this game used temporal blur.
This can be disabled by pressing F3 in game.
- Dialog boxes are clipped at the edges, especially on high HUD depths.

Installation:
Download and extract this file into the directory which contains the ELEX.exe (should be ./system) preserving the directory structure so that "d3dx.ini" is in the same directory as the .exe.

Hotkeys:
- F2 cycles between various HUD depths, however the HEX pattern is only correct at the standard depth
- F3 disables temporal part of ambient occlusion blur
- F4 cycles between two convergence presets, one for gameplay, one for MFD

Thanks for the fix! I was sometimes confused by this game, thinking "is this medieval or futuristic?". I guess there is a story explanation. The game seems interesting. I've looked at the shaders and they are different from the stuff I usually find for lights and shadows, so they may be helpful for other games. It's great how you (and people that helped) fixed all those effects.

Yes, that game needs some very special fixes that I haven't seens before as well. This is also the reason why the HUD is still unfixed.
@mx-2 You should put your fixes (ELEX, Risen 1, 2 and 3) in the helixmod Blog....i only see a tweak for Risen.

Just started the game and it looks awesome with your fix mx-2 !! Unfortunatelly the game crashes after a few seconds.. (right after jumping over the first wall) Without the fix, but still with 3D on, it doesn't crash at all...

I've no idea what's going on but there are only a few crashes, about once every 30 minutes, on my system:

Unfortunately, the game crashes with the fix shortly after start. With an older 3Dmigoto Version, the game does not crash, but there are graphics errors. Sorry for my english :/

Thats exactly the same behavior that happens for me :/

I've tried every thing that comes to my mind, and as descriped above, only thing that prevents it from crashing is an older 3Dmigoto with broken 3D...
