Using VPN is a instant launch, using normal connection... Error 00000097
  1 / 2
I am using Fritz Box, with a 200Mbps Internet Speed and when I am trying to launch any game, it's 98% an error on the connection; but using VPN Express with the server in Frankfurt, it's almost instant access to the service. Does the service require any specific configuration? I am using a 5GHz ac connection btw.

Hmm, will try that from home. Was thinking about VPN as well, but didn't find normal one

After some testing (using NETTOP), I checked that the service tries to connect using all ports from 55030 to 55111, but fails to connect to the server in Frankfurt.

Same for me, works with my own VPN. Without VPN connection it still throws error 0x00000097.

I have that error with Virgin in Ireland. Anyone recommend a VPN? But would love to see this error fixed.

home Vodafone Kabel - service doesnt' work. office Telekom - service is working. Is GeForce now using some special ports which might be blocked by Vodafone and others? I could ask support if they do.

There also might be an issue with public ip address. Often ISPs have not much ip addresses. :(
